Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Center Magic Ring & Base Stitches
Make a Magic Ring with your 4.0mm hook.
Ch 1 (does not count as st). Work 8 hdc into the ring.

Join with a slip stitch to the 1st hdc. (8 sts).

Work a 2nd puff stitch into the SAME space.
Work 2 Puff Stitches into EACH of the remaining 7 stitches around.
Sl st to the top of the first puff stitch to join. (16 puff stitches total).
Step 3: Sturdy Single Crochet Border
Round 3: Ch 1. Work 1 sc in the top of each puff stitch AND 1 sc into each chain-1 space between puffs around.
Join with an invisible slip stitch to the 1st sc. (32 sc).
Fasten off leaving a 4-inch tail. Weave in all ends neatly into the textured back.
